Based out of San Francisco, California The Anthony Paule Soul Orchestra, was founded in 2007, by guitarist/songwriter Anthony Paule. Inspired by authentic Soul and Blues recordings of the ‘60s and ‘70s, this dramatic horn driven extravagant act took shape. Known for having great, authentic singers, APSO invites newest member, the incomparable vocalist Willy Jordan into the organization. Having worked with Elvin Bishop’s Big Fun Trio (which garnered him two Grammy Award nominations), John Lee Hooker among others, Willy holds court from a throne previously occupied by Wee Willie Walker, Frank Bey, and Terrie Odabi. Jordan’s commanding vocals and unpretentious stage presence, give audiences an honest, fresh, heartfelt experience.

WHAT'S NEW?

The APSO and our most recent album What Are You Waiting For? have been nomminated for TWO Blues Blast Music Awards! Voting is open to all, and costs nothing. Use this LINK to cast a vote or two in our directions. Also, we want to let you know our friend Jim Gaines (RIP) who mixed our most recent album is nominated for Producer Of The Year. But wait! that's not all! The album Peace by Frank Bey is nominated in the Historical Or Vintage Album category. The lead off track on Peace is "That's What Love Will Make You Do" which from a 2015 recording session with the APSO. This track is previously unreleased.

We’re so proud of our new album What Are You Waiting For? Check out the video above to hear the first single from the album! You Ain’t Old ’Til You Cold is the first song written by Christine Vitale, Larry Batiste, and me in collaboration with Willy Jordan. Willy had the idea for this song, so we got together, and as our friend Jon Otis says, music magic happened! We hope you enjoy this track while waiting for the album release on 10/25. The video will give you a look into the recording session for the album, and 25th Street Studios too!
